ATKYE School Camps

The program begins Sunday evening and is completed Friday evening. During that time, students will participate in the following schedule:

Sunday evening:        Orientation and meal.  Meeting with the university students
Monday:                       Topic:  Career Choices: 
                                                Faculty member overview (1 hour)
                                                Active learning sessions using drama and art (1.5 hours each)
                                                Lunch
                                                Active learning sessions using peer-led discussion and sports (1.5 hours each)
                                                Recreational time (sports, drama, art, beach outing)
                                                Dinner
                                                Review of Day (group discussion moderated by camp instructors)
                                                Time with university students
Tuesday – Thursday   Same schedule:  Topics are personal relationships, work relationships, and health
Friday                           Review of lessons learned.  A performance that combines the themes from each day

Courses will be taught by dynamic instructors who have advanced degrees in marketing and communication and who are currently completing their PhD at Virginia Tech.
